The Singapore patent renewal starts from the fourth year, and the annual fee is paid every year.
The patent is then renewed each year before the “due date” (the date of the application).
Patents can be renewed up to 3 months before the due date.
You can still legally pay the annual fee within 6 months after the due date, but you need to pay a surcharge fee; the surcharge fee for the first month after the due date is 50 SGD.
From the 2nd to the 6th month, the surcharge fee is 100 SGD per month.
If the payment is not made within 6 months after the due date, the patent will be expired.
Patent renewals can be done using Patents Form 15.

Answer:
There are online(Internet banking) and interbank GIRO, online through IP2SG with credit card or cash card; interbank GIRO is through GIRO remittance.

Online (Internet banking) renewals:
Payment can be made via Internet Banking in IP2SG.
You will need to have a valid internet banking account with DBS/POSB Bank, OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank or UOB Bank for the service.

For payment via GIRO, the payer must have an interbank GIRO arrangement with IPOS.
If you would like to apply for GIRO with IPOS, please complete the following GIRO application form and submit to us.
